I know we have all tried to begin our Mondays by front loading and teaching center rotations for the week. Now, let’s be honest, by the time we get to teaching the directions for center 2, our students already forgot what to do in center 1. Hopefully, they continue to listen, but we all know that we lose them somewhere along the way. Then, our small groups are interrupted or their center work is not completed, because we use this process. Well, Mrs. Pottinger, a kindergarten teacher, is sharing a resource that will solve this very problem. Please click on the link to the video and see how Mrs. Pottinger makes herself available to every student, on demand, but also, doesn’t use a single moment of her instructional time teaching centers. This process could be adapted for any grade level and for any assignment, not just small groups. If 5 year old kiddos can do this, then so can we! Thank you Mrs. Pottinger for being vulnerable and sharing this awesome resource! We can always use resources like this! They make our lives easier and protect our precious instructional time!
